Success stories
It is not always easy to pinpoint exactly what makes the treatment of a chronic or malignant disease successful. And unfortunately we are all conditioned to look too closely at individual procedures or therapies in the hopes of evaluating them as “objectively” as possible. In so doing, we overlook the fact that every form of treatment – surgery, radiation, chemotherapy or natural healing methods – works the same way: it supports our body’s natural ability to heal itself. Added to this is the fact that success means different things to different people, depending on their own respective situation. One patient with metabolic cancer or chronic inflammation may define success as an increase in the quality of life or an extension of life expectancy, while for another success is defined as long-term remission or even complete recovery.
Over 20 years of experience with over 6,300 patients treated so far at our clinic has shown that a holistic approach increases an individual’s chances for improvement or recovery. This means we have to address more than just the problem in isolation as early as possible. Patients need to become aware of their inner resources and self-healing powers, and treatment should be tailored to strengthen and increase these. This applies just as much to to our psychological or spiritual abilities as it does to the physical body. Enhancing the self-healing process is the objective of holistic immunotherapy.
Here at the Hufeland Klinik, we have enjoyed a higher rate of spontaneous remission in patients than can be explained by mere coincidence. Remission is defined as a decrease in or disappearance of a cancer tumour without the use of conventional medical treatment. Experts at Columbia University reviewed and confirmed these amazing results in a study (more information). World-wide malignant tumours do not often spontaneously heal, and, unfortunately, this is not the rule here either. Still we have often observed that our therapeutic approach often improves the quality of life of our patients, and can have a positive influence on a disease’s progression.
The following pages provide an overview of a few patients who have enjoyed therapeutic success. For them, the pathways and therapeutic approaches chosen harmonized well. We hope their examples will give you the courage you need to take an active part in your own healing process, though of course simply mimicking what they did will not lead to success. Each individual case requires an unique and innovative approach.
